Revolving Doors, Barrier Gates, and Vehicle Gate Systems

Designed for field technicians, this course examines the principles, installation practices, and service methodologies for automated revolving doors, commercial vehicle gates, and rapid-cycling barrier arms. Learners explore drive mechanisms, continuous-duty hydraulic and electromechanical operators, emergency breakout systems, and vehicle detection loops. The curriculum emphasizes proper alignment, counterbalance calibration, safety edge integration, and speed profiling to achieve safe operation and compliance with prevailing industry guidelines. Diagnostic methodologies focus on troubleshooting controller faults, mechanical wear in gearbox and chain assemblies, and external trigger failures. Through classroom theory and structured laboratory exercises, technicians develop the troubleshooting acumen necessary to service high-traffic commercial portals and perimeter control systems safely and efficiently. By addressing both pedestrian flow and vehicular traffic management, this training prepares technicians to evaluate site layout requirements, execute preventative maintenance regimens, and resolve complex electrical-mechanical anomalies in demanding operating environments.
